Convicts, Soldiers & Missionaries : The "Kobayashi Maru" of Bunks.

Image
I have always nursed reservations about bunk beds, I think it's a Kobayashi Maru situation. Think about it, if you are top bunk, you could roll off the bed to the floor, I remember quite well in Jss1, I have had countless experience of waking up on another bed entirely, and finding my bed 3 or 4 mattresses away, the saving grace I had, was based in the simple fact that the dormitory arrangement, put at least 3 bunks together, then a slight space in-between, before the next 2, 3, 4 or 5 bunks, depending on the space available. Back home then, my elder brother and I shared a king size, I still managed to find my leg or arm on his body, the merciless sibling would slap it off in a bid to adjust my sleeping position, but I'll be back with another limb five minutes after. My king size background made surviving or sleeping on bunk beds extremely difficult. I just had to roll, toss and turn, sometimes crawl a mile. If you've got bottom bunk, you have to deal with idiots, who cons...

Dear Entity, I beseech you, visit me again - unexpectedly.

Image
Some nights ago, I fought an entity. As I lay cold on my bag, the hardened tiles scraping my bony edges like I had no skin, I found myself at 3, Laird Place. Adjacent to my mother's room, backing the door, and right in front of me stood a female figure swaddled in black and masked in the same. she had curves and an unmistakable feminine mien, with menace in her eyes, she charged at me like an assassin. At first, I doubted that I could stand her blows. She consistently came at me from different angles - much like the hardships of life. But every move she made, I countered. Every step she took, I anticipated. It was as though I knew what she would do before she did it. As if I could see everything coming before it did. Now, I fear my dreams of being a prophet in my former life might be true. For how else could one logically explain this deductive reasoning and foresight? I got a hold of her and started to hit her, repeatedly at every move & every turn, until I floored her. As s...

Olóòkun

Image
I hear the drums of war in my dreams When I wake, it's cannonade rings in my head. I hear the roar of the ocean in my sleep When I wake, It's salt lingers on my lips. I see mother's trident when I close my eyes  And when I wake, its grip still firm in my hands. The sand & shells pricks my feet where I stand When I wake, it's cuts & dents still tingles. My nights turn to days and my days are plagued Plagued with thoughts of her.  I see a stranger, with the face of the mother. I hear songs without lyrics, muses of sirens. I smell the damp air, treacherously humid. The waves call out, I hear my name,  one I have never been called. Her voice still ecoes in my head,  my name still ringing in my ears. Her hands claw at my heart,  Her soft touch feels it's beat & pace. Come to me she says,  come see me where peace lies. I raise my head and lift my lids, Her cold touch warms my peace. Her stare bearing down my soul, Her presence filters the air....

Known Unknown

Image
Yes, with brows feminine in nature, Lips beautifully tattooed in triocrome by nature, And a frame nearly perfect in its own nature, Any man born of a woman is bound to adore. With a face that never seems to age, And yet grows sweeter the more it's days. You look like an amphibious entity. What gives on the face is unknown. Some childlike face with a smidge of lotus airy, Little presence of hair, a few scars and an elfen ear. A salient touch of nativity mixed with drab appearances, Always looking attractive but uninterested. With a figure smooth as glass, and a build firmly held. Looks of samurai princess, shyly backed in evasiveness, And yet gets the attention of peacocks. You look like a veteran's Wesson. Majority forget or ignore, a glint of mad in the eyes, A splinter of rage in the head, and a rebellious blood. A Heavy sense of right, blind sentiments and deletrious emotions, all swaddled through and out. Like every other lotus, yet random and rare,  A presence striking yet...

Oh shit! I fell in love, again.

Image
Dear unknown We can't keep waiting like this, or can we? Lets not both be silly & childish, we both understand the game of numbers; So why waste time we don't have, Debating feelings we can't explain, Fucking with emotions we can't afford, Playing games without rules. Lets not fuck this over, or shall we? You know, I fell in love again, this time, of my volition. Just like falling out of love, it hurts, but I fell In love again. I could write anthologies of your sins, and journals of mine, but finding first offenders isn't the game, sinning is. This ill born fruit of our coalition of errors, was evidence of my laxity of psyche. that boy died, you killed him. This is not another love story waiting to happen, this is not another one of those love notes. I am proud now, thanks to Ola. Never again are we coming here, never again should we think of re living those days at the parks, I marked that tree to burn, you wenchful scam.  We can't keep waiting like this,...

We have seen the Lights

Image
Dear unknown We have run out of time, our time with eachother has come to a heart wrenching end, 5 years together and not one goal. We have failed, like the wet end of a dynamite fuse, we have refused to catch fire, so nothing burns in us & our efforts on eachother are soggy. We are going to war now, it's our entropy. We are armed with the refuge of truth and blood, the fear of fear, the knowledge of death & the lack of the desire to relapse. We are marching to the front lines, the first wave. Tell mother we are going to war, pray not our return, for when we conquer, we march on to another war; it's our entropy. And should we finally taste the pinch of the knowledge death? Then to another frontier we march, another war we fight, it's our entropy. To the front lines, tell Yeye to bring her squadron, tell her to come eat from the spoils of another's war. Dear unknown We no longer have time, let's get to it, another frontier lies ahead, with transition yet unk...
