They run towards me like an army of the dead.
Standing there alone, with no weapons to defend my already defeated spirits
It looks like they will stop, it looks like they wouldn't, still I stand.
Running?
There is no point to it, the strength in the weakness of my feet slowly drags my body into the graves.
Still I stand. I remember the promises of my father and I grow weaker
I remember the prayers of my mother and I lose hope.
Had my father kept his promise, and my mother, worked instead of just praying, I wouldn't be standing here.

They draw closer and closer by the split second, still I stand.
All I have is all I came to the world with... Nothing
Yet, as a man and a soldier, I am expected to defend my self against the whole army of them all... With nothing.
I remember when I started down this field and I regret
I remember when a prophet warned me to turn back home, seek the blessings of my parents and start afresh, then I began to shiver.
Had I listened
Yes, only if I had.

Èdùmàrè, give this fallen soldier one last kilohertz, let him have it, then stand and watch him kill them all, the whole legion of them
ÈDÙMÀRÈ
are you there, Èdùmàrè do you hear me?
