Bojú Bojú

Bojú Bojú, olórò n bò
Do you remember the saying "wa bá erù re n'íbodè"
It says you will be duly rewarded at the end
Well, you have missed it.

We have lost patience and can no longer wait.
We cannot wait for you to get to "ibodè",
It's beginning to look like you never will.

We, yes we are bringing your "ibodè" to you.
There is a rising against you now;

We are bringing you to your end and we are bringing
Your end to you.

Bojú Bojú olórò n bò
These greedy grandfathers has garbled down the gains of their
Grand children's labour

We work, while our fathers eat the fruit of our sweat.

The dark continent is rising, raising soldiers who will fight,
Sons of Chaka and Daughters of Mayaki. Isosha esinamandla.

Young warriors like never before seen. Strong soldiers with the will to lead,
Men with deep knowledge of leadership and not "rulership".

Bojú Bojú olórò n bò
Like the prophet of Eruyéyé said, "they will get you" it's as sure as death.

Your ends draw nearer, they run towards you like racing dogs,
Your cabals are about to be burnt to ashes like the tower of Grenfell.

Your layers of protection and security can't keep what's coming from getting you.
You can't run, you can't hide, you all are sitting ducks.

Bojú Bojú olórò n bò

  1. This is severely lit. Harsh words, scraping over the bumps of what we understand and still try to avoid. Implicit words- no frivolity; you captured all you wanted to portray at once.

My best so far. I mean, a new poem has to blow my mind to beat this!

  2. And to God, it doesn't even need a sequel. Its A+
